SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA - ONE LAST TOUR - FRANKFURT

Ok, I'm still recovering from this gig... I'm deliberately choosing to say gig over concert because it was gigantic! This show was much bigger than Brixton 2010. I haven't seen the guys playing together since then, so I could clearly see how they've developed the entertaining factor of the show. The ticket price of almost 70€ was definitely worth it! There were fireworks, confetti, a light and laser show you've never seen before.

NO_ID opened at 8 pm sharply. I like the guys but when it comes down to a show of SHM, a pre-band is totally overrated. I would've been happier, if SHM would've started directly. And to be honest, I hoped for Alesso, Calvin or Otto Knows to be the open act. Other than that, NO_ID were pretty good. I can only imagine how hard it is to open for Swedish House Mafia - you can't play any of the really cool new tracks, because they'll play them in their set later.

After the longest hour and a half in my life, the curtain fell to hide the stage until the Swedes began to play. The small booth and the screen wall behind it were taken away to make place for the real big thing. I'm talking enourmos BIG! SHM's booth was literary a stage on the stage and they were on the same high as me, who was standing on the balcony!

The booth was quite the high tech space ship - it consisted of 3 front screens, which moved up and down during the show.

When the curtain fell to reveal all of this, the Swedes were standing in front of the booth as if they first wanted to say "hi" before they climb on their space ship and take off.

The show was opened with "Greyhound". The guys played almost every big track they've, done over the past few years including "In my mind", "Together", "Save the world", "Reload" and many, maaaaaany more. I think, I'll go for my personal highlights.

First of them was "Lights" by Steve & Third Party - the track is huge! The next one was definitely "Clash" by Alesso, which is out today on Beatport. "Don't you worry child" was clearly not just my highlight because everyone sang along when the Swedes played it. Another great moment was hearing "Sweet Disposition", "One" and "From Miami to Ibiza". And of course, there was "Sunrise" by The Aston Shuffle vs Tommy Trash.

I could go like this forever, but there were just too many songs played in those two incredible hours. If you have even the slightest chance to see SHM live on their last tour, please, for the love of God, (women, say insert :D jk) do it :D It's totally worth it, it is a one in a lifetime experience and you don't wanna miss it!

For one reason or another it wasn't allowed to make any videos, so I need to post videos by other people. Nevertheless, I hope, you'll be able to imagine how cool it was :)

EDDIE THONEICK - ONE GOOD REASON

I haven't been blogging for a while now but now I've found one good reason to break with the silence - it's the new track by Eddie Thoneick called "One good reason" and it will be out on Beatport by the end of this week.

I can't put in words how deeply in love I am with this song! Without any doubt this is my personal favorite of 2012. Like every of Eddie's song, this is just pure perfection. When I hear it, I feel nothing but happiness and love. Tracks like this remind me why I started this blog in the first place, so I think that you'll be reading a lot more of me in the future. Until then you all have at least one good reason to be going on Beatport this friday ;)
