The speed of life is clearly to fast for me, since I wasn't able to sit down and listen through Dirty South's debut album until today. Nevertheless, I finally made it!
Actually, I wanted to take enough time to really listen to this album, because I had great expectations for the productions and didn't want to hustle just to write down something. So after a couple of days of non stop listening to the tracks on the album, I can say with big relief that this is one of the best EDM albums I've ever heard. It's absolutely perfect and despite of what some stupid people might have said about it since it was released, it has most certainly more than enough drops.
It is very unusual for me to like more than 50% of an album and yet, it's never to late to get nicely surprised. "Speed of Life" has altogether ten tracks and I'm deeply in love with exactly eight of them. I really liked the fact that he produced four tracks with vocals, it's a very nice addition to the rather melodically composition of the album.
The first track is called "Gods" and is featured by Ruben Haze, who you should definitely know after he sang the vocals in "City of dreams" by Alesso & Dirty South. The second track is named "Super sounds" and is one of the three edgiest tracks on the album, the other two being "Champions" and one of my favorites - "Reset".
Joe Gil is my new favorite singer, since he's co-responsible for "Until the end" and "Your Heart". You can't imagine how beautiful these tracks are! You can actually feel the love, the passion and all the emotions, which Dragan and Joe have put into these tracks.
In fact, the whole album is full of love. While listening to it, I kinda got the feeling that Dragan has fulfilled a long time dream of his by completing it. There is not a single track on this album, which is unnecessary, because every track tells a different story, a piece of "Speed of Life".
There is no album by Dirty South without at least one collab with Rudy and their latest track "Something Like You" is number eight on the album and simply amazing.
What can I say, all in all, it is a great album, I would even go further and called it a masterpiece! If you haven't bought it yet, now would be a good time to do it :)

MARCH MIXES
April is almost here, so I decided to give you an update on what mixes were uploaded in March. I believe that I have a little something for every taste.
Not only that we have some regular monthly sets, which are essential to survive the month like the ones by Timo$, Eddie Thoneick, Patric la Funk, Melanie Morena or Marco Lys. No, we also have some additional sets from Ultra Music Festival 2013 and a promo mix by DJ Silver.
So I'm keeping the intro short and cutting to the chase, starting with a new set by Patric la Funk. I know that it says it's his February mix, but it's not my fault that he uploaded it in March :D the point it that it's an amazing mix with great tracks:

I was lucky enough to get this CD signed by Patric delivered to my home, so finally, after so many shows, I can say with relief - I have an autograph by Patric la Funk :D

Before I carry on with my selection from Ultra, I have two more sets for you and they are more than just special. The one is by my good friend DJ Silver and I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying that he's one of the most talented young producers and DJs in Bulgaria. Here's his newest promo mix:
The second special set is by another bulgarian shining star - Metodi Hristov. He had a gig in Moscow a couple of days ago and I'm very happy that it was recorded, so that we can listen to it over and over again:
As promised, here are my personal highlights from this year's Ultra Music Festival in Miami:
This last set was probably the most expected show of Ultra. Not just because is was a set by Swedish House Mafia, but because it was their last show ever. So sad this might be, it's an incredibly emotional set, full with lots of love, lots of great tracks and good memories. I know how it is to see a show of ONELASTTOUR live, so this is definitely worth the download! They came, they raved, we loved it :)

NEW TRACKS IN MARCH
Just in time for this year's WMC, we have some new tracks out on Beatport. Very different from each other, they have one thing in common - freshness.
Starting with something new by Lazy Rich. The track is called "Insomnia" and was released on Chris Lake's label Rising Music 04/03/13. I think that the vocals are quite perfect for this tune, they remind me a little of Chris Lake's wife Gita. The release also includes a remix by John Dahlback, which is definitely crazier than the original, but this is what we're always expecting from John, isn't it?
Lazy Rich - Insomnia by Rising Music
Second on my list is a bomb by Dubvision. I'm so deeply in love with the softness of "Redux", there are not enough words to describe how I feel everytime I hear this song... It's unimaginable beautiful! The track was released on Spinnin' Records 08/03 and is one of my favorites this spring!
DubVision - Redux (Original Mix) by Music Loud Oficial --->
Staying on Spinnin' Records' catalogue, there's another great record, which got released this march. It's "Deception" by Cedric Gervais & Borgore. The track is very "spinnin-records"-like, great melody, great breaks, I believe that it's going to be huge this summer. Here's the radio edit, out since 18/03:
Cedric Gervais & Borgore - Deception (Radio Edit) - by Cedric Gervais
And if like this wasn't enough already, Spinnin' Redords released another amazing track on 04/03 - "Mammoth" by Moguai, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. What can I say about this track? It's a bomb, that's for sure. But this doesn't suprise me at all, considering the trio, who worked on it.
Dimitri Vegas, Moguai & Like Mike - Mammoth [Spinnin'] by djmoguai
Last but not least is a track by Martin Garrix & Jay Hardway. It's called "Error 404" and it's a big mistake to underestimate it! Out on Doorn Records 18/03.

PATRIC LA FUNK IN THE (RE)MIX
It's been a while since I last wrote here and now, I have two very good reasons to catch up on that. And they are both due to Patric la Funk - he uploaded a new mix just a couple of hours ago and today is also the release date of his remix for Goldfish.
I actually met Patric a few years ago at a gig where he and Goldfish were opening for Sebastian Ingrosso. So it was just a matter of time for the three of them to team up on "Take back tomorrow". The remix is really cool and a must have for this spring. I guess, it will be very huge by the time of this year's WMC. Here's a little preview and don't forget to visit Beatport to buy this monster :)
