Swedish House Mafia - New Track?

While listening to their amazing set from Madison Square Garden, I couldn't help but wonder, if this track is the new Swedish House Mafia tune. It surely sounds like a song the Swedes would make and I'm hoping to get some more information on that in the next couple of weeks.

What do you think of the song?

For all of you, who've missed the show, here's the playlist:

Tracklist:

I'm guessing, that the management of the Swedish trio is planing on releasing a DVD or at least a CD, which would explain why you can't find any of the footage anymore.

BACK TO BASICS WITH THE SHAPESHIFTERS

Looking back, I know I was walking around in disguise. I was just as lost and I needed a guide. And the moment that THEY came to change my life was back then in 2007. THEY were my first actual live gig, when I started listening to house music. They showed me how INCREDIBLE house music can be. SENSITIVITY is the only thing you’ll need to feel their music. I have NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR these guys, because every NEW DAY starts with great music as theirs. I’m very pleased to present…THE SHAPESHIFTERS…

TOCA'S MIRACLE: ALEX MARTELLO & DAVID JONES REMIX

I'm sure that all of you have heard this song more than once. It was one of THE hits of the '90s. You've probaly heard it so often, that you started to hate it. And that is why it is so difficult to make a remix of such a song. Expecially when the song is "Toca's Miracle" by Fragma. Of course, there's always this one guy, who thinks he could do it and survive the critics. In this case, there is two of them - Alex Martello and David Jones. Not only have they made a great new version of it, but the release is climbing up the Beatport chart for house music. It entered #42 yesterday and today it's already at #31!

Check it out and love it :)

Carl Louis & Martin Danielle - FiveAM

After their huuuuuuge success with "The Message" and "Little Bit", Carl Louis and Martin Danielle have a new single comming up on 13/12. It's called "FiveAm" and sounds very, veeeeery promising. I've always loved their music and "FiveAm" is a great follow-up of their former bombs. Too bad we have to wait for another 3 weeks. TGIYoutube :D

MICHAEL GRAY & MARCO LYS - REMEMBER

Yay, tomorrow is the day! The new collab of Marco Lys and Michael Gray called "Remember" is finally being released on Chris Lake's label Rising Music.

If you know their style, you would smile instantly after hearing the track. Why? Because you can feel it in every single beat. It is a track to Remember.. ;)

And while you're at it, make sure to check out Marco's November Chart for Beatport :)

ELECTRIC CITY WITH MICHAEL GRAY, MARCO LYS & AGA HELLER

Two weeks ago I was at a really cool party. I guess, I needed some time to recover fully after not sleeping for over 40 hours :D But it was so damn worth it!

I didn't know of the event and then, two days before it I saw that Michael Gray and Marco Lys were coming to Germany. This meant only one thing - I had to see them, no matter what! The party was at the Palais in Koblenz, as part of a..of one of the biggest events for electronic music in Germany. Every year, Electric City is turning the city into one big dancefloor. All of the clubs are to be entered with one ticket and you can change location as often as you want and you can be sure, that every club will offer you really great music.

I have to be honest, I stayed all night at the Palais, because I was only interested in finally meeting the legends Aga Heller, Michael Gray and Marco Lys. It's one thing to be writing to a person and a completely different thing to party together.

After arriving at the club, I didn't have to wait long. Aga was already behind the DJ booth, getting the crowd in the right mood for Gray & Lys. The two got there soon after I did. I was soooooo excited to meet the three of them that night, there are no words, which could describe how big my excitement was :D

Not only the music was amazing, but Aga, Marco & Michael were amazing as well. I can't remember when was the last time that I had so much fun at a party! You would think that DJs like them, who are..well, let's face it, really famous, would be untouchable, but it was quite the opposite! I got to spent the whole evening with them, laughing, dancing, listening to great music.

They played many tracks, some good old known like "The Weekend", "La Tromba" or "Levels", but also new ones like the collab between Lys and Gray called "Remember". Just like this night was a night to remember :) And allthough I felt like I was going to die the next day, because I didn't went to bed after the gig, I would do it again! :)

Thank you guys, for this amazing party :))) It was a pleasure meeting you :)

PANDEMONIUM

Tara McDonald did it again! After the huge success of her songs with David Guetta, the two of them got together again and this time they worked together with no one less than Afrojack. The result is called "Pandemonium" and is really cool!

It has Guetta's and Afrojack's typical electric touch and the voice of Tara is just the final but most important ingredient. The fabulous track is available on itunes and on Tara's SoundCloud chanel:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 3001!

Yesterday was the ninth birthday of my favourite german club 3001 in Dusseldorf. I had soooo much fun!! It was my first time back there since the club was renovated, so I was really excited to see for myself how different it is now from what it used to be.

The first thing you see, when you get in, are the BIG light balls, hnaging from the ceiling. It's incredible how they've changed the atmosphere in the club. Everything is still very modern and extravagant, but somehow much warmer.

Although it was the club's birthday, every guest got a special gift at the entrance. Something little as a thank you for supporting the club in these past nine years. I think, that this gesture was very kind and it shows only once more how important the regulars are to 3001. Or as the crew said: "We are not the only ones who have birthday today, it's your birthday as well, since you've supported us for nine years".

Julian Yogeshwar, Olli Wallner and Phillip Heithier - the residents of the club were behind the decks. This was the right thing to do, because it was the birthday of the club and there's no one a better choice for an act as the actual residents. Everyone else would have changed the theme of the night.

Besides, the guys are playing soooo good, you don't need an international act! Julian for instance is so young and already so incredibly talented. He's currently working on his first track. I'm not allowed to give you information on it yet, but I can tell you this: it sounds very, VERY promising! As to his set yersterday - it's a pleasure to watch him play :)

And Olli's amazing set was accompanied by the live vocals of Phillip Heithier. You can see for yourself on the video below how great that was :)) The two had so much fun performing together and the result speaks for itself:

All in all, it was a great evening with great music and great people at the greatest german club 3001 :)

See you all on Halloween, when Julian and Olli will rock 3001 together with Norman Doray and Thomas Gold :)

9 YEARS 3001

YES, YES, YES! My favourite club 3001 is celebrating its 9. birthday this Saturday. The #1 location in Dusseldorf will open its doors for an amazing party with the moto "Let there be light" one more time this month, but this will be a very special event. People will gather to celebrate the birthday of the club with great music, a lot of fun and exquisite DJs. Make sure to be there, I definitely won't miss that one!

And if you still don't have plans for Halloween (besides buying Patric la Funk's "Baltic ;) ), you should make a stop at 3001. Why? Because Julian Yogeshwar, Thomas Gold and Norman Doray will rock it! As a party of the MidWestMusic-series, it will continue the amazing festival from this summer. Due to the bad weather conditions, Norman and Thomas couldn't play on the second stage and now, the waiting has come to an end.

For everyone who hates the cold seasons - here's a reason to like them: The summer break of 3001 is over and now it's time for some hot music :)

PATRIC LA FUNK - BALTIC

I can't tell you how happy it makes me that Patric la Funk's "Baltic" is finally being released :) I remember how I heard it for the first time six months ago and now it's only 11 days away until I'll finally have it on my iPod!! Yes, the song is coming out on Halloween and you will be able to purchase it exclusively on Beatport. Enjoy the preview, you'll instantly fall in love with "Baltic"...just like I did half a year ago :)

PETE'S HOTTEST

Hey guys,
I was thinking about doing this for a very long time and now I feel like the time is right. There's a reason why Pete Tong is often called a legend. He is like Anna Wintour of house music :D You may laugh, but the "Essential Selection" has given birth to more than 1 star. It's a privilege to be played by Pete and therefore I would like to take a closer "listen" to his show every week and to choose for you the creme de la creme of new music. Because, as Pete likes to say: "In new music we trust" :)

So, as to this week's show (30/09), I want to show you 5 extraordinary tracks.Starting with Eric Prydz and his amazing 2Night.The track proves once more what a great producer Eric is.

Second on my list is also one of my favourite producers - Chris Lake. His music has always been very inspiring and what I like most about him is the fact that with every new track, he is trying out something different. This is the thing about Chris Lake, you can never tell what he'll be releasing next, but it will be a good one for sure. So is his latest production, called "Sundown".

The next track comes from Porter Robinson and is called "Unison". I really love this one, it has so much power!

Porter Robinson - Unison by Porter Robinson

"Moon Palace" by Alan Fitzpatrick was another great discovery for me. The track is perfect for this last sunny summer days - warm and calm.

Alan Fitzpatrick - Moon Palace by Bedrock Records

As to the last track, I have to say, that I was very happy to hear that Pete is supporting it. Both, the Laidback Luke edit and the original sound really amazing, so they have my full support as well. Patric la Funk and Grace Regine with "Time and time again":

LET THERE BE LIGHT Vol.1

Yesterday was THE night - it was the great re-opening of my favourite club in Germany 3001.And as promised, the concept had to do with light, light and more light.
Due to a surgery, I couldn't be there last night, but my sources are telling me that it was an amazing event.I picked out for you the best pictures from Nachtagenten.de and Tonight - two of the most important online party communities in Germany.
Behind the decks were no one less than Olli Wallner and the youngest 3001 resident DJ Julian Yogeshwar and from what I've heard, they've done one great show.
The new concept of the club shows only once more that there no one more important to the 3001 crew than the customer. Can't wait to visit the club soon, they've changed a lot. The DJ booth is no longer in front of the VIP section, it is in the center of the club, right next to the entrance.
The event yesterday had two more highlights: a red carpet and professional dancers. All I can say is: GREAT JOB, GUYS, GREAT JOB :)
FYI: If you still haven't decided how to celebrate Halloween, there's really only one place to be! Norman Doray and Thomas Gold will be having a gig at 3001 ;)Pictures by nachtagenten.de; tonight.de / d-3001.de

Night & Day vs. Good Love

Two producers, two tracks, one thing in common - they are both amazing.

First one is by DEVolution and is called "Night and Day". What makes it interesting is the fact that Alesso did the remix, which automatically makes it a masterpiece.

DEVolution – Good Love (Alesso Remix) *Preview* by Alesso

It's more or less the same with the second track. It's not so much who did it, but who's the remix from. Alex Martello is another name to remember, love his music!

Kura & The Silva feat. Sinead - Night & Day (Alex Martello & Looneys Rmx) by alexmartello

Hope you'll enjoy the tracks as much as I do! :)

NEW PODCAST BY PATRIC LA FUNK

MUST-HAVES

Inspired by how the Swedes took over Pete Tong's show two weeks ago and in addition to my article about it, I want to make you a must-have list of tracks.

Starting with Dada Life and their amazing "Happy Violence". The song is really melodic (not that you've ever heard something else from the guys :D) and it's also a pleasure to watch the crazy video.

Next track is Niki and the Dove – Mother Protect (Alex Metric Remix) with the very specific and typical cosmic sound of Alex Metric. It's very different from the music I usually hear, but I'm noticing lately, that I'm much more open-minded for interesting sounds than I was before. Let's just hope that you are so as well :D

The next one was a track that came across me in Axwell's mix. The producer is still not so well known, but Axwell is someone, who will rather play a no-name, if he likes it, than something known from everyone. So here you go, Michael Calfan and his "Resurrection"...

Michael Calfan - Resurrection (Preview) by Michael Calfan

There's no autumn without Robyn. Avicii's last year remix of her "Hang with me" is epic! And so is her new track, properly remixed by no one less than Mr. Fedde le Grand. Enjoy:

The next one is one hell of a track, it's Michael Woods' "Bullet". One word: GENIOUS!

Michael Woods - Bullet [PREVIEW] by michaelwoods

And altough Steve (who I usually love) did get on my nerves by continiously pushing his brother in the show (seriously, how many times you have to say his name? Antoine is a great producer, he doesn't need to be mentioned in every second sentence. And just for the record, playing "Whisper" two times in one show, separated by one song in between, is just unnecessary, no mather how great the song is). All that said, listen to Antoine and Max Vangeli and their amazing "Whisper" and "Fresh Start" - two very beautiful tracks:

The last track was quite a pleasant surprise to me. Thomas Gold showed once again what a talented producer he is by turning a Lady Gaga track into something, which I would listen to. Amazing achievement!

about:blank

Hey guys,
hello from autumn Bulgaria :) Since I have some time, I'm using the opportunity to bring to your attention two very talented guys from Germany.

They call themself about:blank and I believe them to be very upcoming minimal producers. Their style is really nice and it's a great thing that they are working together, because this way their productions are complete.

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA TAKE OVER PETE TONG'S ESSENTIAL SELECTION

This was a first for the Swedes. Last Friday Swedish House Mafia took over Pete Tong's show on Radio 1 and did an amazing job. I didn't write sooner, because I wanted to listen to the show a couple of times and to really feel the music before writing about it.

And now, almost a week later, I have to say that it was one of the best Essential Selections I've ever heard. Seriously! Seb, Steve and Ax had prepared two hours full of great tracks.

Not only that you could exclusively listen to their new track "Antidote" (reallyyyy nice!)and Dirty South's new tune "Walking Alone" (if you liked "Alive", "Walking Alone" will be love at first bit), but everyone of them had prepared an own mix.

Here's the tracklist, make sure you'll listen to the ES, it's so worth it!!

MUSIC PLAYED

Swedish House Mafia – Save The World [Virgin]
Dada Life – Happy Violence [So Much dada]
Niki and the Dove – Mother Protect (Alex Metric Remix) [Virgin]
Axwell VS REM Vs Ferry Corsten – Heart Is King Vs Losing My Religion [White]
Arty – Rock N Rolla [White]

ESSENTIAL COUNTDOWN

SEPTEMBER MIX BY MELANIE MORENA

Melanie Morena is a name to remember! I met her a couple of months ago at the Midwest Music Festival. She is the sweetest girl I've ever met in this business. After listening to her works for some weeks now, I'm definitely in love with her style! And so should you!

Therefore you can listen to her new September mix, which is packed with some great tracks:

1. Jamie Woon - Night Air - (Rizon & Jojo RMX)
2. Marcel Walter - Rush
3. Copyright ft. Imaani - Nobody (Franky Rizardo RMX)
4. Mark Ronson ft. Amy Winehouse - Valerie (Andy Cato pack up and dance RMX)
5. Robyn - Indestructible ( A-Track Dub RMX)
6. Dune vs. Alesso - Heiress Of Valentina (Jean Elan RMX)
7. Kid Massive & Peyton - A Little Louder (Muzzaik RMX)
8. EDX - Szeplo (Original)
9. John Dahlback ft. Andy P - You're In My Heart (Promise Land RMX)
10. James Blunt - Dangerous (Firebeatz RMX)

12. Goodwill & Hook N Sling - Take You Higher (Club Mix)
13. Benny Benassi ft. Kelis - Spaceship (EDX RMX)
14. Matt Samuels ft. Joel Edwards - Love Begins (Extended Vocal Club Mix)

By the way, she released her first single a couple of months ago on We Play records and it's fabulous! It's called "How We Gonna Live" and it's a collab with Andy P.
