TOP 10 ARTISTS 2011

Last year was huge in so many ways. New stars were born, the big names in the scene proved their status by continuously releasing one hit after the other. And that is why it was impossible to me to summ up all of the great tracks, which changed my world in 2011. It would have been a top 1000. So, I chose to do something else instead. I've came up with 10 guys, who in my opinion have done amazing work last year. Every one of them has released at least one big track, making 2011 a year to remember. The order of listing doesn't have to mean anything, they were equally brilliant.

This guy is the best example that age doesn't matter. If you're good, than you're good, no matter how young you are. Avicii aka Tim Bergling is so good, that he doesn't even need an introduction. His productions are destined to become hits and if you are a fan of house music, you should definitely know these tracks:

PREVIEW Tom Hangs ft Shermanology - Blessed (Avicii Edit) by AviciiOfficial

Avicii - Fire (Levels Two) by Sebastian Cantergiani

The second one is not only the newcomer of 2011, but he's also one of the most talented guys out there. Alesso's productions will blow your mind with their power, no matter if it's one of his babies, a collab or a remix.

The third one on my must-have list is Patric la Funk. It's unbelievable what he's achieved in 2011. It was an incredibly productive year for the German DJ. He worked together with Fedde le Grand, Inpetto, Dave Spoon, Laidback Luke and many more. I'm sure that 2012 will be even bigger for him!

I'm proceeding the list with no one less than Eric Prydz himself. As time goes by, his sound has become more calm, very tender and unmistakable. It was a very strong year for Mr. Pryda with some lovely results:

My next entry comes from the UK. Calvin Harris is one hell of a producer and I can't find enough words to say how brilliant he is. That's why I'll let his music speak:

Calvin Harris - Bounce feat. Kelis by nicholaottley

In 2011 the good music came also from the other side of the globe. Dirty South has done some amazing music and it seems like every year is better than the last one. It's almost like after New Year he enters a contest with himself and he wins it every time :D Go, go Dragan :D

Dirty South and Those Usual Suspects feat. Erik Hecht - Walking Alone by Dirty South

Dirty South and Thomas Gold feat. Kate Elsworth - Alive by Dirty South

Coming Home (Dirty South Club Mix) by Dirty South

The bonus spot goes to the UK beauty Tara McDonald. Although she isn't a DJ, she fully deserves to be on my or on any TOP 10 list of 2011, because of everything she does. The Queen of House gave her voice to some huuuuuuuuuge tracks last year and is now teaching new talents on "The Voice Belgium" the magic of singing.

Set me on fire Sidney Samson vs Tara McDonald by Tara McDonald

Pandemonium David Guetta & Afrojack feat.Tara McDonald (Original Mix) by Tara McDonald

Tara McDonald vs Sidney Samson - Dynamite (Radio Edit) by Tara McDonald

The Grand/Were not lonely Sherry Flavour & Tara McDonald by Tara McDonald

Another great producer, who made my 2011 unforgettable, is Eddie Thoneick. His tracks infect you with their energy, they make you think of the summer, of fun and happiness. And it looks like Mr. Thoneick is having a work flow these last couple of weeks, so I'm really anxious to hear the results :)

Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick "Stronger" by eddiethoneick

Moby "The Day" (Eddie Thoneick Remix) by eddiethoneick

The last two spots go to four songs, just because they were really big last year:

Chris Lake - Sundown | Essential New Tune by chrislake

Swedish House Mafia - Save The World (AN21 + Max Vangeli Remix) by officialswedishhousemafia

I hope you've enjoyed my TOP 10 for 2011. I'm pretty sure, that I've forgotten to mention so many tracks, so on that note - no hard feelings :) 2011 was a great year for house music and I believe that 2012 will be even bigger!
